We pierce ear lobes for children 6 years of age and up.
We do basic piercings (nose, eyebrow, cartilage, navel, etc.) for ages 13 and up.

Nope! We are a piercing only studio. You can contact our friends at RCKT for tattooing needs.

How much will it cost?
The total cost of your piercing will depend on the service you need and the jewelry you choose. Each piercing service fee varies based on the time and skill it requires. The cost of the jewelry will range based on the materials used and the labor needed to achieve the final result. Your total costs will be the service fee + the price of jewelry.
Do you take credit cards?
We take all major credit cards and we take cash.
There is a 3% service fee on all card transactions.
Where do I park?
The Macalester/Groveland neighborhood in St Paul is plentiful with street parking right on Snelling in front and across from the studio.
Can I bring in my own jewelry?
No. In order to ensure the safety of all services we do not use outside jewelry. We want to be sure your jewelry is made of safe materials, is free of debris, scratches, contamination, and is sterile. We carry tons of jewelry and we will help you pick the perfect piece.
What do I need to bring to get pierced?
If you are 18+, you must bring a valid State ID, drivers license, passport, or Military ID.
*IDs can not be clipped/ voided/ stamped. MN Paper IDs must be present, have a photo, a receipt and a stamp from the DMV.
Can I use my chosen name? Heck yes! You absolutely can… However your ID needs to have your legal name on it; and if you are under 18 the rules below still apply.
If you are under 18, you must bring your legal guardian with a valid ID. Minors must also have a photo ID (this can be a school ID). If the legal guardian has a different last name, you will also need a birth certificate (original copy, no photos or photocopies). ID names must match all documents and have legal names on them. If a legal guardian or minor has changed their name since the birth certificate, additional documents (name change decree, marriage certificate, divorce decree, etc.) may also be required.
If you are unsure about whether you will need to bring extra documents, please give us a call.
*ID exception: Minor Ear Lobes- only the parent is required to have an ID.
Do I need an appointment?
It is better to have an appointment. We can not guarantee availability without one. We fill up FAST. You can book using the link to schedule or call to see if we have any availability for same day appointments.
Walk ins- are not always available. So appointments are best for you and us especially if you are driving far to get here!!
Services that we do not typically take as walk-ins: Lobes for children under 12 years, paired piercings (matching nostrils, lips, eyebrows, nipples, etc), septum, dermal/surface work, or genital work.
Can I switch to a hoop (ring)?
Absolutely- once your piercing is fully healed. Since healing times vary considerably from area to area and person to person we will often recommend waiting at least 6mos or longer to make the switch.
*just because your piercing doesn’t hurt doesn’t mean it is fully healed:)
It may be best to email us with your specific situation to ask if we think you are ready.
Can I return jewelry?
No. All sales are FINAL. Once jewelry has left the building it may have become contaminated with body tissues and fluids and cannot be returned. That is a health and safety policy. If you are unhappy with your purchase please contact us and we will help in anyway we can.
Can I bring guests with to my appointment?
We ask that you limit guests who are not also here for a service to one person. If the appointment is for child’s ear lobes, both parents may accompany the child.
While ear lobe piercings can be an exciting event for families, we ask that you limit the number of guests during your visit. We find that bringing too many guests can create a stressful environment for your child and other clients in the studio. Also our lobby is really small… We suggest planning to meet family/friends afterward, if you want to commemorate the occasion. Nelson’s Ice Cream is just down the road from us and is a great place to meet up and celebrate.
Can I be turned down?
Yes. Safety is our priority!
We reserve the right to refuse service at any time for any reason.
For example:
You may not have proper anatomy. Your piercing my not be healthy or healed enough for your request. We may not have enough time. etc… You may not have proper ID or meet our minor piercing requirements.
Our piercers may have to make a judgement call case by case to keep you ans us safe.
Do you offer a jewelry warranty?
ESP's jewelry has a manufacturer lifetime warranty. The expected lifetime of the jewelry is 2 years. The warranty covers manufacturer defects ONLY- such as a pin breaking or a gem falling out of the setting. It does NOT cover loss or normal wear and tear. You must have the jewelry to bring into ESP to utilize the manufacturer warranty. Inappropriate use of jewelry will void the warranty, such as using tools on it, altering, or cutting the piece.
Please be prepared to provide proof of purchase in order for us to honor this policy.
Will you cover the cost of lost jewelry?
Loss of jewelry is not covered for the life of the piercing. While we hope you never ever lose a piece of jewelry, we understand that it happens. Our piercers are trained to install jewelry to be extremely sturdy against gentle use. If a piece has become unattached and lost within 2 days we will cover 100% of its replacement (some items need to be custom ordered). If your item is lost within 2 weeks we will cover 50% of the replacement. After 2 weeks we no longer cover replacement costs. Please be prepared to provide proof of purchase in order for us to honor this policy.
*If you snagged or pull threadless jewelry check to be sure it is pushed into the post all the way after the incident.
